April was a strong month for Web Experts. Four new clients came on board, and the split was almost even: two of them are focused solely on AI tool development, and two are focused on digital marketing and ongoing maintenance.
That split says something about where things are right now. Some companies are coming in specifically to build something with AI, and others are coming in for the work they have always needed done, which still has to get done well.
Clients Who Ask Questions
The best part of the last few weeks has been working with people who are open to exploring what is possible. They are not arriving with a fixed spec and a demand to be left alone. They are thinking a little differently about how their systems could improve, which makes the early conversations far more useful.
That openness changes the shape of a project. When a client is willing to look at a process and ask whether it needs to work the way it currently works, there is usually room to make it better instead of just rebuilding it as-is.
AI In Every Project
Web Experts brings AI into every project, not just the ones with AI in the title. The two new AI tool development engagements are the obvious cases, but the marketing and maintenance work benefits too.
What that looks like in practice is more efficient processes and better outcomes. Traditional work does not stop being traditional work, but there is no reason to do it the slow way when the tooling exists to do it faster and more accurately.
Building On Momentum
Four clients in a month is a good problem to have, and the plan is to keep building on it. Momentum in a small firm is mostly about having enough interesting work in front of you that the team stays sharp, and April delivered that.
To the new clients: welcome to the Web Experts family. The firm has been at this since 1999, and the work is still more fun when the people on the other side of the table want to try something.
